When it comes to a suit or a tuxedo, the fit and drape of a custom made garment maybe a luxury. When it comes to the suit or tuxedo you will wear for your wedding day the perfect fit it is an absolute necessity.

There are very few things that carry the same purpose as ones wedding suit or tuxedo. The images of your wedding day, from the brides dress to your suit, will be captured on film and video. It will be hung prominently on your wall and played numerous times for your selves and your family. It will be a reminder of your commitment to each other. And as the years pass, these pictures may be the lasting image of you for generations of your future family. Some might say we are over stating its importance but what you wear for your wedding, be it, a custom suit or custom tuxedo, is something we build with pride and take very seriously. Fabrics can be deceiving. It’s a fact that some fabrics drape better than others but it’s often missed that some fabrics photograph better also.   This is further complicated by the variable, that what drapes well to the naked eye may not always be the one the photographs best. We have combined our understanding of fabric and cut to deliver a garment that will create the most photogenic image of you for your wedding day.

During the design process we will take in to consideration every little detail, from whether the setting is indoors or outdoors, day or night, the theme etc.. This way we can help you choose your wedding suit or tuxedos color, (i.e. certain black fabrics photograph dark green during day time, but is a better black for night weddings) cut (balancing your

body’s proportions to create a symmetrical photogenic look) and design. The end result will be a wedding suit that not only will be comfortable and drape perfectly, but one that will carry with it a unique sense of your personality as only a custom suit can.

When it comes to the actual design, we encourage classic, clean and timeless looks infused with cues that match your personality and the theme of the wedding. If the wedding is on the beach, maybe a 8.5oz linen and silk khaki suit, with wider leg trousers, would be ideal. The texture and drape of the fabric will give it a airy, breezy, casual look perfect for the beach. While the cut will give it the elegant flair required for ones wedding suit. For a formal wedding under the stars, a great choice is a midnight blue, peak lapel, one button, wedding tuxedo. It is classic and modern at the same time, which means it will never be out of date

(we’ve all seen the horror of the Miami vice wedding suits of the 80’s or the powder blue, wide lapel, bell bottom wedding tuxedos of the 70’s) and the midnight blue will be the perfect inky black under all the artificial lights and flash bulbs.  These are just some examples, but be it a custom wedding suit or a custom wedding tuxedo, the possibilities are limitless.

If this is your first custom suit or tuxedo with us, We encourage you to book you appointment with a minimum 7 weeks lead time before the event. While our avg. turn around time is between 3-4 weeks. certain body types may require multiple fittings and adjustments until their pattern is perfect. This extra time will help ensure the best fit for your custom wedding suit or wedding tuxedo.
