We believe quality is the essence of true luxury, and ”The Standards” collection reflects exactly our philosophy. For custom suits and custom sport coats, the collection features fabrics from mills that use the fleece of Australian merino wool sheep as the backbone for the cloth. Merino stock produces a very durable wool, all with out compromising on “hand”, the softness and body that creates the beautiful drape of the suit. Merino wool fibers that can be bent up to 40,000 times before they break (compared to 75 times for a synthetic such as nylon.) which is why we are insistent on its use. Most of the collection will then be blended with other high quality ingredients such as cashmere, silk, linen or cotton. This gives the wool a different dimension, in terms of depth in color, texture, luster, and “hand”. “The Standards” collection features fabrics starting from super 120’s and go up to the super 200’s.
For our custom shirts, this collection features 100% cotton made from pima, sea island, and Egyptian cotton fibers. These are all long staple cotton fibers, and just like merino wool, produce cloth with exceptional resilience for maximum wearabiltiy.
