Fabrics: The Standards
We believe quality is the essence of true luxury, and our The Standards collection reflects this
philosophy vividly. For custom suits and custom sport coats, the collection features fabrics from
mills that use the fleece of Australian merino wool sheep as the cloth's backbone. Merino stock
produces very durable wool without compromising on hand, the softness and body that create
a fabric's-and consequently a suit's-beautiful drape. Merino wool fibers can be bent up to
40,000 times before they break (compared to 75 times for a synthetic such as nylon), which is
why we insist on their use. Most of the fabrics in the collection combine merino wool with other
high-quality fibers such as cashmere, silk, linen, or cotton. This blending process gives the wool
a different dimension in color depth, texture, luster, and hand. Our The Standards collection
features fabrics starting from the super 120s and going up to the super 200s.
Our custom shirt collection features 100% cotton made from pima, Sea Island, and Egyptian
cotton fibers. Just like merino wool, these long-staple cotton fibers produce cloth with
exceptional resilience for maximum wearability.
The Standards collection cloth is available exclusively with our Black Label process. The end
result is a custom garment of unmatched value.
